Pivot Auto Transports uses third-party service providers to help manage communication with leads and customers, including calling and text messaging on our behalf. When you submit a quote request or provide your phone number, your information may be processed through a third-party calling or SMS platform used by Pivot to follow up with you regarding your inquiry.
These third-party providers are contracted solely to deliver communications on Pivot's behalf. They are not authorized to use your contact information for their own independent marketing purposes, and they do not own or retain your data outside the scope of the services they provide to us.
This section explains, from a privacy standpoint, how your phone number is used when you contact Pivot or request a quote. For consent language and opt-out mechanics, see our Terms & Conditions, which contains our full SMS messaging policy.
What This Means in Practice
When you submit your phone number — through our website's quote form, by phone, or any other channel — Pivot or a third-party platform acting on our behalf may:
Your phone number is not sold to third parties. It is shared only with the specific service provider(s) Pivot uses to place calls or send texts on our behalf, strictly for the purpose of contacting you about your own inquiry or shipment.
Call and text communications sent through our third-party platform(s) may be logged and retained for a limited period for quality assurance and dispute-resolution purposes, consistent with our data retention practices described in Section 9.
Our website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to understand how visitors use our site, remember your preferences, and support analytics and advertising tools. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect certain website functionality, such as the quote form.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including completing your shipment, maintaining records required by FMCSA regulations, resolving disputes, and complying with legal obligations. Call and text records associated with third-party communication platforms are retained consistent with those providers' standard retention periods unless a longer period is required by law.
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to request access to the information we hold about you, request correction or deletion of your information, opt out of certain data sharing practices, and opt out of text messages or calls at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 14. We will respond to verifiable requests in accordance with applicable law.
Our website and services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
If you no longer wish to receive calls or text messages from Pivot Auto Transports, you may reply STOP to any text message, or contact us directly by phone or email to be added to our internal do-not-contact list. Our website does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
Note
Opting out of calls or texts does not cancel an active shipment. If you have a shipment in progress, please contact us directly so we can continue coordinating it through another channel, such as email.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
